DriveSight ("the App") is developed and operated by CyberLab Automation ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Camera Data
- The App uses your device's camera to provide dashcam recording and AI object detection features.
- All video recordings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or access your video recordings.
- Camera frames are processed on-device using AI models for real-time object detection. No images or video are sent to external servers for processing.
Location Data
- The App collects GPS location data to provide trip tracking, wildlife sighting mapping, speed monitoring, police alert proximity, and camera proximity alerts.
- Location data associated with wildlife sightings may be uploaded anonymously to our community heatmap database to show wildlife activity zones to other users.
- We do not sell or share your precise location data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Device Sensors
- The App uses the ambient light sensor to detect night mode conditions.
- The App uses the accelerometer to detect impacts and phone mount status.
- Sensor data is processed locally and is not transmitted to external servers.
Audio Data
- The App may record audio as part of dashcam video recording when the microphone is enabled by the user.
- Audio recordings are stored locally on your device. We do not access or transmit audio data.
Usage and Analytics Data
- We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to improve App performance and stability.
- This data may include: device type, operating system version, app version, feature usage patterns, and crash logs.
- This data does not include personally identifiable information, video content, or precise location data.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide real-time AI object detection and dashcam recording features
- To track trips and wildlife sightings
- To display community wildlife heatmaps using anonymized, aggregated sighting data
- To provide camera and police proximity alerts based on your location
- To improve app performance and fix bugs through anonymous analytics
Data Storage and Security
- Video recordings, trip data, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
- Community heatmap data is stored on secure Firebase servers.
- We implement reasonable security measures to protect any data transmitted to our servers.
- Old video recordings are automatically deleted based on your loop storage settings to manage device storage.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- Anonymous community data: Aggregated, anonymized wildlife sighting locations are shared with other App users through the community heatmap feature.
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Your Choices
- You can disable the microphone in App settings to prevent audio recording.
- You can toggle detection categories (animals, people, vehicles) on or off.
- You can delete recorded video clips at any time from within the App.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
- Camera: Required for dashcam recording and AI object detection
- Microphone: Optional, for audio recording with video
- Location: Required for trip tracking, wildlife mapping, speed monitoring, police alerts, and camera alerts
- Storage: Required to save video recordings to your device
- Foreground Service: Required to continue recording while the App is in the background
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
